I seriously want to lose weight, but at the same time I seriously want to eat more protein to help in my weight training.
There are so many pretty crazy and extreme egg diets out there on the web. However, I am not following them in the sense that I am strictly eating only boiled eggs. Boiled eggs are my third to least favorite eggs btw lol.
No, instead, this egg diet has ketogenic properties that would keep me from getting to a malnourished state. The point here is to become healthy while losing weight and not lose weight but also hurt my body.
Anyways, so essentially this egg diet will have eggs as the main source of protein but protein from fish, chicken, and tofu will also be consumed.
Also, there is no one way to eat the eggs, just as long as they are eggs. That means if I feel like eating scrambled then I will eat them scrambled; if I feel like making a fritata, then it shall be. Etc…
The only way this egg diet will be restricting is the fact that the only cooking oil to be used is unsalted organic sweet cream butter. If it says special blend or oil blend then it will be chucked out the door, or rather left at the supermarket. Butter also must say it is made from whole milk. This also means that the butter used will have to be full fat from whole milk with all the fat. Cuz seriously, how the hell can you make butter fat-free if butter originally was 100% fat. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
So yea, I’m serious about the butter.
You know what, let me just show you my grocery list-
- Grilled chicken
- Tuna in vegetable oil
- Firm tofu
- Unsalted organic sweet cream butter
- Full fat mozerella cheese
- Full fat mayo
- Peanut butter
- Bread (from scratch would be the best)
- White rice
- Dark chocolate (75% or darker)
- Romaine lettuce
- Spring onion
Why the egg diet?
To be honest, it is not to follow any fad or cuz some celebrity has done it. No, this was simply my diet when I was my thinnest and not because I wanted to lose weight at that time but cuz that is how I was brought up. The things in my list are my favorite foods believe it or not. This egg diet is me cutting out all the bad shit out of my diet and it’s called the egg diet because egg is my favorite food, especially the yolk.
So, sorry to disappoint if this egg diet isn’t the egg diet you heard of.
